Below you will find Pages and Pages of
our many Animals with Care Sheets of some
of my favorites. These Care Sheets are the
result of my personal experiences as a
hobbyist for over twenty years. I have also
included additional research of other
recognized "experts" in the field of
Herpetology.

I want to caution everyone reading these care
sheets that this information is provided for
you to use at your own discretion, and in no way
implies that the ideas and suggestions they
contain are the only way to successfully
house these amazing Animals. I encourage
you to further research, on your own, any
other information sources you can to
establish your own base of knowledge and
information. I have tried to include as
many publications on each topic as possible in order to assist you with that process. Over time I will continue to add other publications that I find of personal interest. Keep in mind my comments on these publications are my own opinions. I urge you to read all you can and form your own opinions based on your experience and research.

Spend some time with with us as we share with you our Animal Travel adventures, School Programs, and Projects as well. We have so many Stories to tell you with pictures, and friends to share with you that it's time to get started! Our photos feature mammals, reptiles, insects, and their environment. These animal photos will always be updated to bring you the latest of our experiences.

You can also go to our School Program section and see some of the Animal Encounters, Art Work, and fun, along with the wonderful learning experience that we all get to share.

With an exciting change in focus for this site, I will continue to maintain and add new and interesting Animals as we add to our collection. The changes will include field trips to Zoo's, Animal Parks, Aquariums, and Conservation Centers. We will keep adding as they take place. I hope you will join in on the fun of these trips, and share in the experience of learning, and exploring through the photos we will constantly be adding. Don't forget to e-mail us with you comments, and thoughts about the animals, trips, and the site in general.

LET ME FIRST SAY THAT NO ONE SHOULD EVER ATTEMPT TO REMOVE AN ANIMAL FROM ITS' NATIVE HABITAT UNLES IT IS ABSOULUTELY NECESSARY. YOU MUST BE COMPETENT IN THE APPROPRAITE ANIMAL HUSBANDRY REQUIRED FOR THAT SPECIFIC ANIMAL. THAT INCLUDES HABITAT REQUIREMENTS, AND CORRECT FOOD. IT ALSO REQUIRES COMPLETE COMPLIANCE WITH ALL LOCAL AND FEDERAL LAWS. IT MAY ALSO REQUIRE A FINANCIAL COMITMENT THAT ONCE REMOVED AND THE SERVICES OF A QUAILFIED VETINARIAN ARE NEEDED THAT THOSE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED, EVEN AT YOU OWN EXPENSE.

The first  to be rescued was this Box Turtle. It was easy to come up with the name "Lost". Since he was resqued in 2000 I have used him routinely in  School Programs. While "Lost" was a yearling, another adult Box Turtle was found the following year in the exact same location. His name is "Digger".   They are now nine and who knows how many years old respectfully. Since Digger was an adult when he was found there is no way of telling just how old he is.
There is no substitute for hands on learning. The senses of touch and seeing take our awareness and our minds to another level.

An experience that will not be forgotten anytime soon!
Learning from reading enlightens us.

Learning from hands on experiences defines us.
This is a "Red Foot" Tortoise that normally resides in the Amazon River Basin of South America. This captive bred female is ten [11] years old and still growing.

She loves her school visits! She is continuously on the move and anxious to meet everyone.
Watch for updates on our Ball Python breeding projects.
Himalayan Newt [Tylototriton verrucosus]
Malaysian Leaf Frog
Red Eye Crocodile Skink
Crested Gecko
Coastal Rosy Boa
Last year was another fun year with all the third grade classes at May Howard & Marsh Point
This is "Steve". He was named for and in honor of Steve Irwin. This Bearded Dragon may not have quite the personality of the Original "Steve" but he is none the less a character in his own right. Originally "Steve" was owned By Abby Wallace. She needed to find a new home for Steve and I was lucky enough to be her choice. Steve is a favorite at all the school programs and seems to love the opportunity.
PARDON MY MESS!!! FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS I WILL BE MAKING LOTS OF CHANGES AND ADDITONS. DURING THIS TIME MANY OF THE LINKS WILL NOT BE WORKING. PLEASE CHECK BACK IN A FEW DAYS.
